2025 is a year full of big expectations, at least for me. I’ve already gone through a long process of learning, training, and exploring new adventures both professionally and personally. And for 2025, I want to experience what it’s like to run a full marathon—42 kilometers.

Although you already know that in recent years I’ve been practicing skateboarding as my main hobby, my connection to sports goes back to when I was very young. I played in the top football leagues in Madrid, have always enjoyed sports, and have exercised without following any specific program—simply because it made me feel great both physically and mentally.
I’ve been training more seriously for strength in the gym and have revisited some sports to really challenge my body. Running is one of them, and even though I’m not a fan of long distances, I signed up for my first half marathon: the Mitja Marató Ciutat de Palma in Mallorca.
A race I didn’t train for specifically, but for which I had accumulated some kilometers in the previous weeks and, most importantly, had prepared my body with various recovery tools. I use mobility exercises, cycling to oxygenate, a foam roller, the massage roller, and pressotherapy boots in every session.
I completed the race in 1:52, wearing €39 shoes from Décimas and with just a couple of energy gels. I should also mention that I currently weigh 90 kg, so considering I hadn’t specifically trained for this race and hadn’t done much running in a long time, that’s not bad at all.
God has given me good genetics and a physique suited for sports, that’s true, but without training, you lose it or don’t progress. What I mean is that I’ve never stopped doing sports: 8 years of football, 19 years of skateboarding up to now, and in between, running, calisthenics, and gym in seasons, but never fully focused. I think work, life, and not having a clear goal make it so that even if you’re doing a lot, everything gets diluted across different areas, and you never truly excel in any.
This year, having solidified my professional foundations and dedicating myself to something I really enjoy, I’ve decided to challenge both my body and mind in sports. I started the year with a 3-day fast, which turned out amazing. I reintroduced football and running as regular practices and completed my first official half marathon. I had never run 21 km before. I’d been close—around 15-18 km a few years ago—but I’ve never been a big fan of just running or long distances. My workouts used to be 5-10 km before moving on to other sports.
My goal is to run a full marathon, something that seems to be trending these past few years. In my case, it’s very achievable: my body and mind have the capacity to handle the training and reach the goal, and I’m already in the process.
On the other hand, I want to make it clear that I’m not going to dedicate myself solely to running from now on. This is just another opportunity I’m giving to a sport and a challenge for both body and mind. I want to continue skateboarding, training in the gym to build a healthy and injury-resistant body, and keep enjoying football and exploring new sports that I’ll try and incorporate.
If you want to see a detailed recap of the race, I made a video that’s published on my social media.
